Today we went to the pool. I like the pool at this military housing, the deepest it gets is 4ft! I don’t have to worry so much about the kids drowning, or me being able to reach the bottom. LOL! I was having a bad camera day..I know I am not a photographer, but come on, I can do better than that! I must not have had the camera settings correct. I will try again the next time we go, I guess.

Well Purple Heart came to pick up our old car Friday morning. Felt almost bad, IT IS just a car, but I guess there is something to be said for having had it for so long; ten years. Here are some pictures of our new car. It is certainly different then our Dodge. But this car for the price gets good gas mileage. Something we need as it is John works about an hour away from home.
The front

The back

Sheesh! Look at the reflection on that, it is hard to get a good look at it that way. I might need to pull it out of the car port and take more pictures.... I wasn't having a good camera day as it was.

NEW CAR!

Well we did it! We have a new car, pictures to come... but it is a 2008 Toyota Yaris... 35mpg on the highway. it only has 11,100 miles on it. Three hours, hot sun... and a cranky four year old...

A new car...well new to us...LOL

Well it looks like we will be getting a new car this weekend. I really didn't want to do it for another few years, but it doesn't look like our old faithful Intrepid will make it another few years. It's a good car, it still has a good engine, but other repairs that the car needs are starting to add up, and I would rather just buy a new car instead. We have had that car for almost ten years. It's 13 years old! We will be donating it to Purple Heart, they take vehicles that run or don't run.. I didn't want to try sell it with the needed repairs or having who knows what coming to my house to look at it. Since the engine is still good on the car, (the only thing that hasn't stopped working), I didn't want to just haul it off to a junk yard. So we figured this would be the best thing for it. We got financing through our bank today and will be ready to buy this weekend! Can't wait! Since my husband works almost an hour away from where we are living, we really need to have two vehicles.
Last weekend our military housing had an End of the School Year Bash. Anthony didn't end up attending, since there didn't really seem to be anything there for teenagers. Elizabeth did win a cake in the cake walk they had, BUTTER CREAM FROSTING! MY FAVORITE!

They had a bouncy jumpy thingy....

Games....

Face painting.....

And even Ronald McDonald was there.
